If boxes appear in place of Bengali characters, then you can conclude that the font is not installed properly. Proceed as follows. Please check the following in the notepad font setting. If you do not see the Bengali Unicode then either your Bengali word writer is not setup properly or you need to initialize the supplied shibani.ttf font file.
To initialize the shibani.ttf font file, you can go to windows/fonts directory and double click the Bengali Unicode ( shibani.ttf is the file name where as Bengali Unicode is the font name). OR reboot the computer to auto initialize. If you open the supplied sample.txt file in the (start/programs/clicknwrite/Bengali) directory the writing should appear as below. No boxes.
