Clicknwrite Bangla Word Writer Trouble Shooting

If the Bangla Word Writer do not work as expected, please follow the following steps to identify the problem and solve it. We assume your operating system is Windows-XP and that the computer is not infected with Virus and or Malware. See note at the bottom as to how to check it.

Step (1)     Is the software correctly installed.> Normally the answer should be "yes".  And if the answer is "yes", you should have two files on desktop to click, Namely Sample text file and readme.txt file. If you do not have them, go through the download and installation procedure. Re do it. Check the computer meets the minimum requirement, for installation.

Step (2) Reference is given in Readme.txt file about an internet location where setting is explained. Have you done the setting as explained ? If not please click setting link, to go to that page of website, and do the setting as explained.

Step (3) Have you restarted the computer, for settings to act.

Step (4) Bengali Unicode font:- After you restart the computer, double click the sample.txt file. Do Bengali script appear properly there? If Bangla Text appears check for the font used to display the Bangla text.

Click the Notepad Menu Format Font > Bengali Unicode font should be visible. Sometimes Bengali script in sample.txt may be shown through different font and under such circumstances you may find intermittent error in composition.

If the Bengali Unicode font is not visible, check the previous steps and reboot (switch off and start) or restart your computer at least two times. If this still does not solve your problem ( you cannot find Bengali Unicode font), go to C:\Windows\Fonts directory. Find "Bengali Unicode" font or Shibani.ttf file and double click it to initialize.

Alternately you can download and install it yourself > click here http://www.hindischool.com/demo/shibani.ttf
(B) If you see the "shibani.ttf" font file under font directory (Usually C:\windows\fonts) but you can not see "Bengali Unicode" it in the notepad (under format/font option), reinitialise the font  by double clicking the "shibani.ttf" font file to open and see the content. Then close the font file and open "sample.txt". Now see whether you can read bengali script there. Further if you see Bengali script in notepad now, check the font (format/font), you will find it as Bengali Unicode. If still does not work, reboot computer and check. If not may be your computer is infected with Virus, clean it as explained below.

Below is Bangla script, if you can read the upper one and script matches with its image in the lower one, your settings are ok. If on the other hand you can see Bangla but the appearance is different, means you have some other Bangla font installed before. In this case you may face intermittent problem of showing some conjugant. To change default Bangla font from some other old Bangla font to Bengali Unicode font see note in the bottom of this page.

To change default Bangla font from some other old Bangla font to Bengali Unicode font.

What to do if Bengali Unicode font do not get initialized, (some other Bangla Font affecting display of Juctakhor Jafala Rafala etc):- (A) Go to font directory (C:\windows\Font),  find Bengali Unicode and double click the font font to initialize. Click in windows Notepad top row menu "Format". Click "Font" and check whether you can see  Bengali Unicode font is listed in the list of font. If it is now available simply choose (click or double click) to display your Bangla Text in Bengali Unicode from Shibani.ttf file. Reboot your computer and check the Bengali Unicode is still available there or replaced. If after reboot the Bengali Unicode is still available then the problem is solved. You have a choice to show Bangla text in either old Bangla Font or new Bengali Unicode font.

(B) In the worst scenario, if after reboot, the Bengali Unicode vanishes again and replaced by old Bangla Font, then you need to remove that font (you can find the font name by displaying the Bengali text in Notepad and checking the font name) from font directory (C:\windows\Font) temporarily. Copy and save that font to some temporary directory for later install. After storing there, delete the font from C:\windows\fonts directory, and repeat the process (A) above. Now the old font can not get initialized. All your Bangla work (including that was done before) will now be displayed in Bengali Unicode font. And in the unlikely event of you needing that old Bangla Font again, copy and paste the stored old Bangla font in the font directory (C:\windows\Font).
