Clicknwrite word writers uses complex scripts for writings and hence Windows must be configured to use such scripts. Please proceed as follows. 1. Setting Indic Script > Navigate as follows from Windows Start Menu:- Start > Settings > Control Panel > Regional and Language options > Choose Languages Tab > Box should be checked for Install files for complex script and right to left languages (including Thai). You need to reboot/restart the computer after you have changed the setting for changed setting to be effective. Click to see how it looks. 2. Screen Resolution > Please set it to a Minimum of 1024x768, and preferably 1280x1024 or more. Higher resolution helps you open two windows (one for notepad and other for word-writer) effectively. 3. Open Windows Notepad (Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad). Click Format from Menu Bar > Check available fonts > Check Ariel Unicode MS is available. Normally this font is supplied with Windows-XP. But if you do not see the font you can install the font by clicking the link next. Note this MS Ariel unicode is a large file 13 MB as such it is Zipped as Aruniupd. After downloading and and saving the file in your hard disk, double click the downloaded Aruniupd to install the font automatically in the appropriate fonts directory in windows. Once properly installed you should see Ariel Unicode MS is available as above. Note fonts are located in Fonts directory under windows. Click if you need to download ( link to download ) now. 4. Skip this step if the script does need to show conjugant characters such as Tamil or Thai. Ariel Unicode MS supplies all Unicode fonts but does not manipulate them (to show Conjugant characters) as required for many complex scripts such as Bengali & Hindi . For this reason other fonts are also required as shown below. They are either be supplied by WindowsXP by default or included with Clicknwrite software package. 5. On starting the word writer, a registration window should appear initially. During the trial period, you close this window by clicking the close button (top right corner cross). Program will work as unregistered. After trial period, if not registered the main screen is dim and deactivated. In such cases there is nothing wrong with either the computer or the program. Simply pay for the software and get the registration key. Once registered the software is for lifelong use. 6. If the problem persists, reboot your system couple of times (switch off on etc) for the settings to take effect. If the computer behaves erratically, means your computer needs maintenance with antivirus software, windows disk-defragmentation etc. 7 Clicknwrite operation flowchart 8. Once you get basics *, writing (with script of your choice) to any application should be easy. For simplicity we suggest you start writing on Notepad first, then proceed further.
