A: Assuming that you know how to write in Notepad (see above), the easiest way is to transfer (copy & paste) the Hindi text from Notepad to Outlook email. This is because Hindi uses UTF-8 (Unicode) file system and not ANSI as is generally used for English environment of Notepad. Similarly when you want to send the message through Outlook express, the Outlook express prompts for encoding. Choose UTF-8 and Unicode as appropriate. Once Outlook is properly initialized Unicode, you can directly write on it.
Q: Does the recipient of the email have to have any particular font installed for the characters to display properly? A: Yes the settings for WinXP must be correct. Please refer http://www.clicknwrite.com/settings. To reply or write in Hindi, the recipient can download a copy of ClicknWrite. |
